Day 125 - Relaxing on the Boat in AC

Neither one of us was eager to return to the boardwalk and its casinos, so we spent the day working on the blog, catching up with email, washing clothes, and tinkering on the boat.  The crews of the mega-yachts are busy all day with cleaning and maintenance.  We went up to the Golden Nugget’s pool on the 6th floor of the hotel in the afternoon.  Again, it was warm and sunny, but quite windy up there.  The breeze kept us cool enough to enjoy 1 of 4 hot tubs for a while.  In addition to the main pool, there was a very shallow pool with low chairs for those who wanted to sit in the water – all of the chairs were taken.  The pools and lounge areas were packed, not surprising on such a nice day.

We went back to the boat for a light dinner and more entertainment from the casino deck; tonight was a country band.  After dark, I took pictures of 2 nearby casino-hotels with their lights on:  the Borgata and the Water Club.  Lightning started around 9:00 pm and a couple hours later it poured.  The Captain was watching the weather channel and checking weather sites constantly to monitor the progress of the season’s first named storm, Hurricane Arthur.  We thought we would stay ahead of  it, but we would keep watching.
