Day 58 - South Beach – A Day at the Beach

Another sunny day in Miami dawns as we woke up and had breakfast.  A great day to stroll and lounge on South Beach.  We splurged on beach lounges and relaxed for the next few hours.  It was perfect, as some clouds moved past and kept us from sizzling out there.  We have visited South Beach many times and it is the place to “see and be seen” in Miami.  There are people from all over the world that come here, many of them coming particularly for the boat show during mid-February.  We walked back down the Government Cut walkway, taking pictures and watching the boats in the channel.  The first 2 photos below are of the exterior of Nikki's Beach Club, where we had eaten the night before.

Somehow we found ourselves at Monty’s again, heading for the “Chicago corner” and meeting up with our friends.  Kevin Cooney, another Chicago boater had just arrived, adding some friends of his to the corner.  It’s very fun to be on vacation and yet be able to enjoy the company of friends.

We finished the day with burgers and the Olympics on the boat.
